Security incident at V-Bank

Dear Customers,

 

As a result of a cyberattack on an external IT service provider, our bank became the target of unauthorized data access. During this incident, V-Bank data was compromised.

Since becoming aware of the incident, we have been working intensively together with internal and external cybersecurity experts to fully investigate the matter. The forensic investigations are still ongoing. At this point, we can state the following with certainty:


•    Our security systems functioned as intended. At no time did the perpetrators gain access to V-Bank accounts. This also applies to all account access and authentication data (usernames and passwords).
•    No funds were transferred or stolen.
•    All V-Bank IT systems remain stable and fully operational. 

Unfortunately, the perpetrators were able to obtain certain personal data relating to customers and business partners.

Our highest priority is to minimize the impact of this incident and prevent any potential harm to our customers and business partners.
